By studying this subject you will read widely, develop independent thought and learn to challenge perspectives while expressing ideas with originality. At Haggerston we teach a diverse range of authors and texts that foster historical awareness, social understanding and political insight, alongside enrichment opportunities such as theatre trips, lectures from leading academics and university visits.
Grade 6 in English Literature
Students are assessed by two exams (2 hours 30 mins) consisting of extended essay writing responses. NEA coursework is worth 20% of the final grade.
