This A-Level course develops critical understanding of how politics functions in the UK and beyond. Students study democratic structures, political parties, and ideologies (like conservatism, liberalism, socialism), and examine the UK Government, its constitution, Parliament, and executive, alongside one additional political idea (e.g., feminism, ecologism). The course culminates in a comparative study of either US politics or global governance. Emphasis is on critical thinking, argumentation, and evaluating contemporary political issues.
Grade 6 in Humanities subject and Grade 5 in English Language
Assessed through three written exams which include source based analysis and extended essay question
