
This qualification gives students the chance to study a wide array of theoretical areas that underpin Physical Education. Under the three main titles of Applied Anatomy and Physiology, Sport Psychology and Sport in Society, the theoretical aspects of the Physical Education allow students to build on their knowledge from previous study and learn about factors that optimise performance. The course will address current contemporary topics in sport such as the impact in the use of ergogenic aids, technology and increasing commercialisation of sport. It will also consider psychological theories that underpin skill development and examines the physiological and biomechanical aspects of sporting performance.
