Course summary

Students who want a genuine insight into the world of business and commerce should consider this course. It will examine critically the aims, objectives and practices of business organisations from their economic, environmental and social aspects. These issues will be considered from the point of view of the nation, local community, industry, proprietors, management and employees of industry and consumers. Students will develop a critical understanding of contemporary business organisations of all types, the dynamic external environment within which businesses operate and the effects this can have upon decision-making within a business. We consider major topical issues that can generate change for business organisations from a range of stakeholder perspectives.
