
This course has three components: Philosophy, Ethics and Developments in religious (Christian) thought. Philosophy covers ultimate questions about reality, the nature of 'God' and challenges to religious beliefs both ancient and modern. Ethics covers the classical ethical perspectives and applies ethics to a number of real issues. Developments in religious (Christian) thought is an exploration of Christianity in more depth – you will look at central and differing beliefs about human nature, the purpose of life, revelation, faith and reason, and the challenges of secularism and pluralism.
Minimum 6 GCSEs at Grade 5 and above and a minimum of Grade 4 in Maths GCSE or English (Language or Literature) GCSE Plus Grade 4 in GCSE English and Grade 5 in Humanities subjects
