Course summary

Psychology is the scientific study of mind and behaviour, making it one of the most fascinating and wide-ranging A Levels. It allows you to explore how memory works, why people obey authority, how attachments are formed, the impact of mental illness, and the factors that influence identity and behaviour. Psychology is a subject that combines scientific investigation with critical analysis. You will learn how to design experiments, analyse data and evaluate theories, while also developing strong written and communication skills. This makes it an excellent partner with Biology and Chemistry for those interested in health and medicine, and with subjects like Mathematics, Sociology, Sport Science and Business for students keen on research, coaching, sports management, or organisational roles.
