A grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and/or English, with a minimum of grade 4s in GCSE Science. A grade 4 or higher in GCSE PE or a Merit higher in BTEC Level 2 Sport is recommended. Enthusiasm for sport and regular involvement in physical activity are essential.
The course uses a combination of assessment styles to give students confidence in applying their knowledge. These include practical and written assessments, controlled tasks, and written exams. The assessments will include both externally marked exams and internally assessed assignments.
