Course summary

A-level Law is a two year programme, and students will progress into Year 13 on successful completion of Year 12. The law of England and Wales is studied. Course content includes: • Courts system and people who work within the legal system • How laws are made and interpreted • Criminal offences and defences including murder, theft and insanity • Tort law (civil wrongs) including negligence and nuisance • Contract law including, how a contract is made, the terms within it and how a contract ends • Theories behind the law, for example, how law and morality overlaps For more information, please see the full prospectus.
