This course will develop and deepen the skills you have gained at GCSE and will give you a profound understanding of the language and the society and culture of the target-language country. You will learn more about the mechanics of the language, such as grammar and vocabulary, but also about a variety of topics. You will also have the opportunity to study literary texts and films. These topics build on what you have studied at GCSE and cover a wide range of interesting and engaging issues. The common thread amongst these is discovering how people speak at a personal level, and what their individual views are on these everyday topics. You will also need to be able to express your own opinions.
