This course helps you to understand mathematics and mathematical processes in a way that promotes confidence, fosters enjoyment and provides a strong foundation for progress to further study. It helps you to apply mathematics to other fields of study and be aware of the relevance of mathematics to the world of work and to situations in society in general. In discrete maths for example, we look at algorithms which help to find the minimum distance to travel between towns, ensuring you visit each town at least once. The course will help you to make deductions and inferences and draw conclusions by using mathematical reasoning, whilst interpreting solutions and teaching you to communicate your interpretation effectively in the context of the problem.
