Business Studies

Course summary

This subject is of general interest and useful for whatever career path you are going to follow, whether in employment or running your own business. You will develop the necessary knowledge and understanding of what business is considering the local, national and international environment in which they operate, and the decision making processes businesses go through. Business is an ideal preparation for those students wishing to pursue further study in the field of Business and/or Management, either as a main subject in its own right or in combination with other subjects. You should be competent and comfortable dealing with simple mathematical calculations and the interpretation of numbers and percentages. You should possess, or be willing to develop strong analysis and evaluation skills plus have an interest in business. You do not need to have studied GCSE Business to study this subject.
