AQA A Level Sociology explores key aspects of social life through three main areas of study: • Education with Theory and Methods – Investigates how the education system affects individuals and groups, alongside sociological research methods. • Families and Households – Examines the changing nature of family life, gender roles and demographic trends. • Crime and Deviance with Theory and Methods – Analyses why people commit crime, how society responds, and how social theory explains deviance. You’ll learn to apply key sociological theories (Marxism, Functionalism, Feminism, Interactionism) and evaluate real-world evidence to form well-argued conclusions.
