Course summary

Economics is the study of how societies, governments, businesses, households, and individuals make choices and allocate their scarce resources. Many of the world’s most significant social problems have an economic dimension. Students taking this course should have an investigative and inquiring mind. We will debate global issues, explore and present alternative courses of action, keep up to date with economic trends, and research local, national, and international economic and business environments. The study of economics is an excellent way to acquire problem-solving skills and develop a logical, ordered way of looking at issues.
