Art and Design (Fine Art)

Course summary

This is a highly creative and exciting course through which you will develop a portfolio of work to support a degree or career in architecture, fine art or any other design-related discipline. Students engage in a wide range of artistic tasks across drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, installation, photography and printmaking. You will be encouraged to broaden your artistic skills through a series of workshops which will help you to work independently, developing your own ideas whilst investigating a wide range of traditional and contemporary artists. There will be opportunities to visit art galleries and exhibitions throughout the course.
