Financial Studies (to be confirmed by Spring 2026)

Course summary

This course is suited to students who wish to learn how to make informed and confident decisions regarding their finances or are considering a career in the Financial Sector or a Business or Finance degree course. The course will be broken down into examination units throughout year 12 and 13. To progress on the course you must pass each exam. You will have 6 hours of teacher contact time (in class) and be required to wrk for a further 4 / 6 hours. Progression: A particularly good choice for those wishing to go on to Higher Education after Sixth Form as it will prepare you for the financial rigours ahead. It is also very useful for those considering a Business, Financial or Economics based degree or for going straight into employment.
