Students will experience a range of opportunities to create, devise, perform and evaluate live theatre. They will explore industry-based skills and study the practice of a range of professional theatre practitioners. They will develop creativity and independence and learn to analyse and evaluate their own work and the work of others. Students get the opportunity to experience the role of the performer, playwright and set designer. Component 1: Drama and Theatre - Written exam Component 2: Creating original drama - Practical and Coursework Component 3: Making theatre - Practical and Coursework
Grade 6 in GCSE Drama and/or proven commitment to the subject All A Level courses require a minimum of Grade 4 in English and Maths
3 hour written exam practical exploration of a devised performance on a stimulus of your choice, plus a supporting notebook. Final performance (assessed internally). Practical exploration of three text extracts with supporting logbooks. Extract 3 is assessed by an external AQA examiner.
