
The course will allow you to develop a range of key skills, applicable to many industries, including critical thinking, analytical and debating skills. Furthermore, you will also develop your knowledge on mental health conditions (allowing you to challenge misconceptions around mental health), debate the key methods to help people struggling with their mental health, and how policies in organisations can better support people struggling with their mental health. The summary of the components we study is as follows: Fundamentals of mental health and the individual Mental health, wellbeing and society Supporting and promoting mental health and wellbeing in organisations Community-based support for mental health and wellbeing Supporting mental health and wellbeing with physical activity
For this qualification, students must complete five units: • Two mandatory externally assessed examination units • Two mandatory NEA assignment units • One optional NEA assignment unit
