The course explores a range of fascinating topics, including how different psychological approaches explain behaviours, the characteristics and treatment of psychological disorders, the formation of attachment, the accuracy of memory, and explanations of obedience and conformity. You will also learn about how psychological research is conducted and take part in class experiments. Course Structure: Paper One (Introductory Topics): Written exam: 33.3%, 2 hours, 96 marks. Topics covered: Social Influence, Memory, Attachment & Psychopathology. Paper Two (Contextual Psychology): Written exam: 33.3%, 2 hours, 96 marks. Topics covered: Psychological approaches, Biopsychology & Research methods. Paper Three (Issues in Psychology): Written exam: 33.3%, 2 hours, 96 marks. Topics Covered: Issues & debates in Psychology, Gender, Schizophrenia & Addiction. Complementary courses: Biology, Mathematics, Sociology, Philosophy, English, History.
