Course summary
Studying Music Technology at Key Stage 4 extends the skills studied in Music at Key Stage 3, focussing mainly around sound engineering and music production and also involves some composing and creativity. Students further their knowledge of Logic Pro and how to create and manipulate sounds and also learn how to record live audio in a studio environment, dealing with clients and editing sound for use in film and television. The course prepares students well for higher education study of Music Technology related courses, which with further training, could result in employment in the music or media industries. It will also provide students with skills, understanding and knowledge which, when they apply for roles in their chosen industries, should make them stand out from most other applicants.
