Component 1: Theatre Workshop (20%) Content: • Study of an extract from a published play • Study of a practitioner • Reinterpretation of the extract in performance Assessment: • Devised performance/design in the style of the practitioner chosen • Creative log (written or recorded) • Internally assessed, externally moderated Component 2: Text in Action (40%) Content: • Study of a different practitioner to component 1 • Exploration of a board provided stimulus • Performance/design of devised drama • Performance/design of scripted extract in a different style to the devised performance Assessment: • Scripted and devised performances/designs • Process and evaluation report • Externally assessed by a visiting examiner Component 3: Text in Performance (40%) Content: • Exploration of ‘Trojan Women’ by Euripides • Exploration of ‘Saved’ by Bond • Exploration of ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime’ by Haddon/Stephens • Analysis and evaluation of live theatre Assessment: • Written Examination of 2hr 30 mins
