Course summary

Why this course? The aims and objectives of the Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Advanced GCE in Business are to enable students to develop an enthusiasm for studying business and gain a holistic understanding of business in a range of contexts. It helps students develop a critical understanding of organisations and their ability to meet society’s needs and wants and understand that business behaviour can be studied from a range of perspectives. It generates enterprising and creative approaches to business opportunities, problems and issues and helps students to be aware of the ethical dilemmas and responsibilities faced by organisations and individuals. Skills acquired include decision making, problem solving, the challenging of assumptions and critical analysis and numerical skills in a range of business contexts. Student profile The course is for post-16 learners who want to begin or continue their education in Business. The qualification is equivalent in size to one A Level and aims to provide a coherent introduction to study of Business.
