Course summary

Unit 1 and 2 are about physical and human Geography with Unit 3 being a synoptic paper, examining the connections between different aspects of the course. Unit 4 is a write up of independently gathered data, seeking to answer key questions, allowing you to respond to a hypothesis, determined by you. In Year 12, Tectonic hazards and Coasts [physical units] are studied with Globalisation and Regenerating Places studied on the human side of the specification. In Year 13, Water [Cycle and water insecurity] and Carbon [Cycle and energy security] makes up the remaining part of the physical course with Superpowers and Health, Human rights and Intervention for the human side. The third exam, the synoptic paper, will be based on one previously studied unit
