Further Mathematics

Course summary

The course covers many areas of mathematics and enables the students to acquire knowledge and skills with confidence, satisfaction and enjoyment. This involves studying Pure Mathematics as a continuation and development of GCSE work and developing skills to model real-life situations mathematically in Mechanics and Probability & Statistics. The course inherently develops the key transferable skills of solving problems from a variety of starting points. We involve our sixth form mathematics students in extra-curricular activities such as the UKMT Senior Mathematics Challenge. Course Content - Pure Mathematics
