Course summary

The Further Mathematics course broadens and deepens the mathematics covered for AS/A2 Mathematics. It is designed to be studied alongside AS and A2 Mathematics. If you enjoy mathematics, this provides a further challenge and the opportunity to explore different mathematical concepts. You will be introduced to new areas of Pure Mathematics and some topics from Decision Mathematics, as well as studying further applications of mathematics in Mechanics and Statistics. The Core Pure Mathematics topics include: Proof; Complex numbers; Matrices; Further algebra and functions; Further Calculus; Vectors.
