This open event is for all prospective students and their families interested in Year 12 entry (post-16 education) and Year 14 (Level 4). It’s a chance to explore our facilities, meet current students, and speak with our expert staff.

We will also be running taster sessions throughout the evening in the following areas: Writing, Directing & Screen craft, Film & TV, Hair & Make-up for TV, Theatre and Film,  Lighting and Sound for Live Performances, and Set, Props and Costume.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on and discover a range of creative career pathways.

Chingford Sixth Form Open Evening – 8th January 2026

We warmly invite you to attend our Sixth Form Open Evening, this important event will give you all the information you require as you support your son/daughter to make vital decisions about their post-16 studies.

The format of the evening will be as follows:

• 5.30pm – 6.00pm: Arrive and receive a Sixth Form brochure. Our prospectus and application form will be available on our website.

• 6.00pm and 7.00pm: Two opportunities for our information talk by Mr Haines, Head of School and Mr Cook, Head of Sixth Form. Our Head Prefects will also give insight into studying at the Sixth Form. • Opportunity to explore Sixth Form facilities and talk to students about life in the Sixth Form.

• A chance to speak with subject tutors who will be positioned in the Clive Moore Sports Hall and Sixth Form Common Room. All subjects will have an information leaflet for you to take away.

• During the evening Sixth Form Pastoral Staff will be available for questions and advice.

Cardinal Pole Sixth Form is outstanding Sixth Form in the heart of hackney. A vibrant and academic sixth form that welcomes applications from all students for both A Level and Vocational courses.

We will be offering an Open Morning for Coombe Sixth Form on the 9th January.  This will take place from 9am-9:45 am. Our current students will give you a tour of the school and you will have the opportunity to ask sixth form staff any questions. 

This will take place at the Coombe Girls' School Site and is primarily aimed at students taking an A-level pathway. Students who plan to take a vocational pathway will be based at the Coombe Boys' School Site.

• Subject talks will be held throughout the evening however these are not able to be booked in advance.
• We are only able to accommodate one parent/carer with each student due to space restrictions.
• Please ensure you register both the parent/care and student on the one reservation. You need to select two tickets and provide the details for each attendee.
