Welcome to Langdon Park Community School

SIXTH FORM PASTORAL LEAD - MRS OZCAN

As the sixth form pastoral lead, I recognise that quality education doesn’t just consist of academic qualifications. Here at Langdon Park School, we try to reinforce the understanding that obtaining good skills and qualities has a significant impact on a young person’s prospects and employability. My role at the Langdon Park sixth form is to create further opportunities for Year 12 and Year 13 students and to support them with raising and attainment for the sixth form.

To achieve this, attendance and punctuality are something we focus on as they prepare our students for a successful future. We have excellent links with external facilitators for students to gain great sixth-form experience. Our sixth form continues to grow, and we look forward to having you as a part of this journey.

Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
All sixth form students have a dedicated enrichment slot in their timetable once a fortnight. This is a compulsory element of the timetable. Some sessions are delivered to the whole cohort; others involve working in smaller groups on a carousel basis. Sessions may be led by members of school staff or by external organisations. Students are welcome to suggest topics they would like to see addressed in the enrichment programme and are also welcome to plan and deliver sessions for their peers or for younger year groups. This type of student involvement and leadership is something we actively encourage.
