Welcome to Bowden House School
Welcome toBowden House School.Post 16 is the senior house of the school, which has a unique structure to it’s DNA, and as such can help the students prepare for life outside of Bowden House. Students are encouraged to help and prepare food at meal times, keep bedrooms clean and tidy, wash and iron clothes, and set a good example of behaviour to the younger students below them in school. All students are attending college, Brighton, Eastbourne, and AMEX are the colleges we have students attending at present, but have a wide variety of options for the students to choose from covering a wide variety of subjects from Car Repairs, Brick Work, Wood Work, Music, Cooking, Building, Sports Science. Our activities range from Ten Pin Bowling, Gym sessions, Bangor Racing, Football matches, Rugby Matches, to day trips to Arundel Castle, Portsmouth Dockyard, Longleat. All Post 16 students use public transport to and from the school to college, students also travel home at weekends by train to London. Students are taught how to read timetables, buy tickets, and how to behave in public. Post 16 students are helped with money skills, understanding the world in which we live, helping and respecting others less fortunate than themselves. Post 16 is a real home from home for the students Staff and students have a great relationship with each other, making Post 16 a great place to live and work.
