HomeSchool Profile

Welcome to Christ's Church of England Comprehensive Secondary School

Our well-established Sixth Form has capacity for 180 students, attracting high calibre external students alongside our own Year 11s. Our light and airy modern purpose built sixth form block boasts large open plan spaces conducive to study. Our students achieve outstanding academic results with over 90% going on to study at university and over a third enrolling in Russell Group universities. In August 2025 Christ's students celebrated A Level results that, for most, secured their first choice universities. The school regularly achieves above national averages in all subjects, and we are particularly thrilled that this year our results were the best in Richmond Borough. We are also proud to report that the highest number of students in our history achieved places at Russell Group universities. This success is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of our students, as well as the unwavering support and guidance provided by our outstanding teams. The Sixth Form is split into small mentor groups who meet daily with their tutor for Personal Development Time, and weekly as a whole year group to partake in our Super Curricular Programme. Through these sessions, students benefit from financial education, careers guidance, topical debate, character and cultural education, enrichment opportunities, and debate in PSHE & Ethics. Our dedicated careers and progression lead offers our students information, guidance and support in choosing and applying for university, apprenticeships and employment. We run a varied enrichment programme encompassing sports, debate, journalism, STEM, Theatre/LAMDA, robotics, economics, volunteer work in the local community and even knitting! On a daily basis I am heartened by the enthusiastic and committed approach to Sixth Form life by our students and delighted to be leading a dedicated team of staff and governors who continually work on ensuring outstanding outcomes for our Sixth Form students.Helen HarrisHead of Sixth Form
