Lauren McQueen

September 2021

Employed

I studied A Level Dance, Drama & English Literature. I am a professional actor and worked on Hollyoaks for 2 years as Lily McQueen. My aim is to continue to have a successful acting career in many other roles. I started doing drama in Year eight and loved taking part in productions and dance shows every year. I was given so much support and many opportunities like dancing in Shanghai with the English National Ballet for the World Expo. The drama and dance department were amazing and the teachers went the extra mile to help me get the best grades. “Work hard and take every opportunity given to you” is the best advice I can give you.

Aimee Hewitt

September 2021

Apprenticeship

It was fantastic to see Aimee Hewitt back at St John Bosco today. Having left Year 13 in the summer, Aimee moved onto a traineeship with Aintree Hospital and has just been offered an apprenticeship! It was great to receive such positive feedback. Aimee will be returning to discuss careers in the NHS by speaking to our Year 10 and 11 students.

Elle Shea

September 2012

Employed

Elle completed her A-Level studies at St John Bosco Arts College in 2014, securing a place at Robinson College at the University of Cambridge where she studied languages for 4 years. During her first year at Robinson College, Elle served as her college’s Access Officer and sat on a university-wide board helping promote diversity and encouraging students from a range of different backgrounds to apply to Cambridge University. Elle studied Spanish and started learning German and took a short course in Arabic. In both 2014 and 2015 Elle completed study and work abroad programmes in Spain and Germany. She completed a year abroad in Spain and Chile in 2016 and whilst in Chile she worked as a press intern at an art museum an experience which proved to be pivotal in her future career. Elle graduated with a first-class degree in June 2018. Following her graduation, Elle began work at the Alan Cristea Gallery in London. This commercial gallery deals in prints, publishing editions by living artists and representing estates. Elle’s work involves PR and Communications, promoting exhibitions, website design, contacting press, making e-books, press releases and other marketing content. We were delighted to welcome Elle as our guest speaker for our Awards Afternoon 2019.
