It is my great pleasure to welcome you to St Vincent’s School, a specialist school for children and young people with sensory impairments and other needs.Our mission is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every child and young person can thrive, achieve their full potential, and lead fulfilling, independent lives. Our school motto: Love, Live, Learn, Grow.At St Vincent’s School, we understand the unique challenges faced by individuals with visual and hearing impairments, and we are committed to providing a tailored educational experience that meets the diverse needs of our children and young people. Our dedicated team of highly skilled Qualified Teachers of the Visually Impaired (QTVIs), support staff, and specialist staff work collaboratively to deliver an ambitious and comprehensive curriculum that is both accessible and challenging – this includes both access to the National Curriculum and all areas of the Curriculum Framework for Children and Young People with Vision Impairment (CFVI).Our school is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities designed to support the learning and development of our students. From our sensory rooms and adapted sports facilities to our braille and assistive technology resources, we strive to create an environment where every student feels valued and empowered. We also place a strong emphasis on fostering independence and self-advocacy, providing all students with the skills and confidence they need through our personalised mobility and habilitation courses to enable them to navigate the world beyond our school gates.In addition to our academic routes, we are proud to offer a wide range of extracurricular and enrichment activities that promote social interaction, physical health, and personal development. Whether it's through music production, art, sports, or community-based projects, we encourage all our students to explore their interests and develop their talents.At the heart of St Vincent’s School is a supportive and inclusive community.
