Welcome to Ivel Valley School & College

Ivel Valley School is a thriving learning community where pupils are happy and engaged.

The community extends far beyond the school grounds. We have very strong links with families, the areas which we serve and colleagues from other services.

Our last Ofsted inspection (Sept 2023) found that we remained a good school and one that is committed to establishing itself as a ‘Centre of Excellence’.

Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
Here at Ivel Valley we aim to offer a vast range of enrichment activities. We believe that enrichment activities; Promote skill development: Enrichment activities provide

Foster socialisation and inclusion:

Enrichment activities can provide opportunities for students to interact and socialise with their peers, which can help them develop important social skills and build friendships. This can be particularly important for students who may struggle with socialisation and communication.

Promote skill development

Enrichment activities provide opportunities for students to learn and develop new skills beyond the traditional academic subjects. For example, students may participate in art, music, or sports activities that help them improve their creativity, teamwork, and physical coordination.

Increase engagement and motivation

Enrichment activities can be highly engaging and motivating for students, which can have a positive impact on their overall attitude towards school and learning. When students are excited about what they are learning, they are more likely to be invested in their education and achieve better academic outcomes.
