Welcome to Rowden House School
Our fantastic facilities are set in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and is fortunate to have extensive grounds and woodlands, giving students a tranquil, spacious, accessible and safe environment in which to learn and live. The market town of Bromyard and the city of Worcester are close by.
Our collective knowledge and expertise enable us to guide our youngsters through long term programmes of formal and informal education and development.
We encourage all our students to develop a positive self image, promoting their ability to express their personal preferences through informed choice. This develops their confidence and enables them to realise their full potential and grow into happy and healthy adults.
Whilst I know that you will find the information in our prospectus interesting and informative, nothing gives you a better insight into the true ethos of the school and home than seeing it for yourself and we welcome you to visit us.

Enrichment Activities
Show all activitiesOutdoor learning is offered to all students and is a fantastic opportunity for them to experience and learn in a woodland environment. The main ethos of outdoor learning is to foster learning through exploration and play, allowing students to learn new skills and to discover and learn from the outdoors themselves.
Work-related learning is an important part of the post 16 curriculum and promotes key skills in preparation for adulthood.
Post 16 students also enjoy carefully planned work experience placements including a care home, working farm and classic car parts supplier. Students unable to complete a work placement with an external company join our onsite maintenance or kitchen teams.
