WELCOME TOBREAKSPEARE SCHOOL. On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors of Breakspeare School I would like to welcome you to our website. I hope the information that we have provided enables you to find out more about our ‘Core Offer’. We are a Hertfordshire maintained special school catering for the educational needs of students in the 6th Form. All our students have Severe or Profound Learning Difficulties, in addition to which many have a complex medical, physical or sensory impairment; autism or speech, language and communication needs. We are able to provide a highly individualized curriculum for each of our students which is designed and delivered in consultation with parents and other professional agencies. Everyone at Breakspeare School strives to make the students’ daily experiences interesting, challenging and enjoyable. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, secure and age appropriate learning environment in which students are able to mature and flourish. As a caring community we are dedicated to the advancement of every students’ personal growth and development. We base our work on highly professional standards, mutual trust and respect for human dignity of all its members hence our mission statement; ‘Opportunity with Dignity’.Our website is designed to give you detailed information about the educational provision that we offer.
