Welcome to LaSWAP Sixth Form
Welcome to LaSWAP
LaSWAP is the oldest and largest sixth form consortium in London. We are made up of four schools, in close proximity who act independently from Years 7-11 and share teaching for Sixth Form. This means our students benefit from a broad course offer over four sites:
La Sainte Union
William Ellis
Acland Burghley
Parliament Hill
Our students excel academically and leave us as lifelong creative learners with a strong understanding of, and engagement with, their community.
Our 2025 results are incredibly strong across our A level and vocational qualifications, and we are very proud to offer a broad curriculum of choice to suit our diverse student body.

FAQs
External students will normally be based at the school where they have the majority of lessons.
No. At the very longest it is a 10-minute walk between ABS and PHS/WES/LSU. You will never move lessons between periods; only have break and lunch so there is plenty of time to get to your next lesson.
We offer over 35 A levels and over 10 vocational courses. You can study close to any combination of subjects together. There are lots of subjects taught across LaSWAP that are not taught elsewhere including: Classics, Psychology, Computer Science, Product Design and Sports Leadership.
You need to complete an application form, deadline will be on our website. You will be contacted later in the year inviting you to book at enrolment which will be after you receive your GCSE results. At your interview, you will need to select the subjects you would like to study.

Some lessons are only taught at one school. So, this will determine where your other subjects can take place. There will be a discussion when you enrol that will help you narrow this down, but you cannot select the school that you have a lesson directly. It will be dependent on what works for your whole programme of study.
If you qualify, it is possible to take 4 A levels. However, it is important to know that universities, even the very elite ones, would prefer 3 Excellent A levels to 4 mediocre ones. There are other qualifications that you may want to hear more about that are better ways to boost your programme of study including EPQ and Core Maths.
Each course offer leaflet has a QR code that will help you find out more. The LaSWAP website is also an excellent resource. Taster Day is an event we provide to give students experience lessons in a range of subjects that will also help you to narrow your choices down further.
All students are based at one of our four schools and will have a tutor and head of year who will "guide" them for the 2 or 3 years that they are with us. They will be the people who write references and know you best. Our support is unrivalled in terms of other schools: it is school based support.
LaSWAP provides an excellent bridge between lower school life and university of the world of work. By travelling across the 4 sites, students start to get a sense of what life beyond school may feel like in a safe and nurturing environment.
Over 80% of students go to university and around 30% go the Russell Group. You will have subject specific examples and then lots of others are found on our website.
