What you do in the Sixth. Form prepares you for your next steps, be that higher education, further education, training or employment so it is important that you choose to study subjects that are right for you. As you consider which subjects to study, it is essential to seek information and advice from a variety of sources including that contained in this prospectus. Within the Academy there are a number of people who can offer advice and I strongly recommend that you use their expertise to ensure you are applying for the most appropriate courses. We have high expectations of anyone who joins our Sixth Form here at CBA. Students must demonstrate commitment to their work, organising their time effectively and engaging in self directed study and research. Students in the Sixth Form are expected to be role models to the younger students in the standard of their dress, conduct, attendance, punctuality and attitude to learning. Students are expected to take full advantage of our varied extra-curricular activities to develop those skills and competencies required for their next steps after the Sixth Form. The Academy will provide you with everything to make your Sixth Form years an excellent academic and social experience. You need to commit to the courses you choose and work to the best of your ability acting on advice given to make further progress. Chantal

September 2017

University

Chantal is our most recent Oxbridge student, after leaving the Academy in 2019 with two A*s in Art and Psychology, an A in English Literature and a B in Maths at A-Level. She is currently in her second year of studying a degree in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Cambridge.

Josh

September 2017

University

Josh is currently studying for a degree in Computer Science at the University of Leicester. He left the Academy in 2019, with an A in A-Level Maths and two Cs in A-Level Further Maths and Physics. He said: “I studied Computer Science as a GCSE and it utterly captivated me. It made me want to pursue the subject and continue on to a related career. I chose to study at the University of Leicester as the course allows me to specialise early on.
