Welcome to Harris Academy Purley

The Harris Academy Purley Sixth Form offers co-educational high quality teaching in a positive learning environment in which all students are encouraged to strive for Academic excellence.

We offer a broad range of academic and vocational courses delivered by subject specialists with a focus on developing the skills of collaborative and independent learning.

The Purley Campus is part of the Harris Sixth Form, which is made up of 9 other campuses with almost 2000 students, making us one of the largest Sixth Forms in London. One benefit of our size is that we are able to provide a wealth of opportunities for our students that simply cannot be found elsewhere.

Each tutor group in our Sixth Form belongs to one of our four faculties. The students in Sixth Form have a dedicated Sixth Form team to deal with academic and pastoral needs.

Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
Our Enrichment and Extension activities not only give students the chance to further develop their skills learnt in lessons but allows them to try new activities not typically taught in the curriculum.

Extra-Curricular Sport

We offer a range of extra-curricular sports clubs that are open to all year groups. These clubs meet for weekly training sessions and regularly play competitive matches against local schools.

Clubs and Activities

Clubs are an important strand in the Academy's wider curriculum. Students have access to a variety of clubs before school, during their lunch break and after school. We use a system called SOCS to monitor students' attendance to clubs and issue rewards to those with exceptional participation.

Duke of Edinburgh

Through a DofE programme young people have fun, make friends, improve their self-esteem and build confidence. They gain essential skills and attributes for work and life such as resilience, problem-solving, team-working, communication and drive, enhancing CVs and uni and job applications. Top employers recognise the work-ready skills Award holders bring to their business.
