Welcome to Whitburn Church of England Academy
Our student satisfaction ratings are always hugely positive and students report being happy, settled and well-supported. Students typically highlight “the community feel”, “support, both academic and non-academic” and “the teachers”.Visitors to our Sixth Form, including inspectors and staff from other educational establishments have commented upon the calm, purposeful working atmosphere in our independent study spaces. This is a good measure of the attitude of our students and it ensures the foundations are there for all students to make good progress. We are immensely proud of our destinations statistics, and we have much experience in supporting students to achieve top university places as well as Higher Apprenticeships, School Leaver Programmes and Degree Apprenticeships. We hope you agree that everything is in place here to help you achieve your goals. We welcome applications from any ambitious, hard-working students who want to achieve.MR L M CRAGGSHead of Sixth Form

Employed
After graduating from university in
2023, I began my career at Full Circle Events and
Exhibitions as a Group Marketing Assistant. The company -
although a big player in the industry - didn’t have an
established marketing team at the time, so I had the
unique opportunity to help shape things from the ground
up.
Early on, I worked closely with a London-based branding
agency team with the exciting opportunity to refresh the
company's identity, update marketing assets, and
redevelop the entire website. I was later invited to present
the new brand direction to the company’s 100+ employees
- a proud milestone for me.
Later that year, I was honoured to receive the ESSA Young
Person of the Industry Award at a national event. Following
this recognition, I was promoted and now lead the
marketing efforts across the entire business. With this I’ve
also been able to bring in placement students and establish
a dedicated marketing department- which has been mega!
