Welcome to Clitheroe Royal Grammar School

We are delighted that you are considering CRGS Sixth Form for your A Level studies. The choices you make after Year 11 are important ones and our experienced Sixth Form Team are here to support you through this journey. We are a diverse, welcoming and inclusive community, with approximately 680 students joining us from over 45 different schools. We have a dedicated Sixth Form site with excellent social and study facilities and this contributes to our unique ethos. We aim to strike the balance between providing structure, support and strong pastoral care, whilst encouraging students to develop as independent learners and achieve the high academic standards which will open the door to the widest range of future opportunities. At CRGS Sixth Form, we believe that the Sixth Form experience is more than just about A Levels. We are committed to providing students with a dynamic and engaging education that provides young people with the confidence and experience to become the innovators and leaders of the future. What are the entry requirements for the Sixth Form?

Students are required to meet the General Entry Requirement of a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 6 with at least GCSE grade 4 in English Language and Maths. In addition, some of our A Level courses have specific entry requirements (please check subject course summary).
