Welcome to The Broxbourne School

Welcome

The Broxbourne School Sixth Form is an exciting community committed to providing its students every opportunity to excel.  Our aim is to offer the highest possible quality of teaching through specialist A level teachers in each subject. Additionally we take pride in the personalised care, support and guidance we provide, enabling all students to achieve. At Broxbourne, we strive to provide exciting and inspirational learning in a secure environment where students can develop skills of independence that will support them as lifelong learners.

We offer an extensive range of enrichment and extracurricular opportunities to complement academic studies.  Our Sixth Form students make an enormous contribution to the life of The Broxbourne School. In turn, we do our utmost to provide an outstanding education and the academic, pastoral and careers support necessary to make it a fulfilling and rewarding time for our students, which prepares them for life beyond school.

We take great pride in our Sixth Formers, and it is a privilege to work with them as they develop across the two years.  The Broxbourne Sixth Form has high expectations of students, and they share these expectations and aspire to achieve highly.  If you are equally aspirational, and share our expectations, we would be interested to hear from you.

Good grades at A‑level count for a great deal but competition for places, particularly at the most prestigious colleges, universities and employers is fierce. Increasingly, they look not just for good qualifications but also for evidence that students have spent time in the Sixth Form developing other qualities – interpersonal skills, leadership and the willingness to contribute to the life of the community.
