Welcome to Dr Challoner's Grammar School

Dr Challoner’s has a large co-educational Sixth Form of over 440 students. Whilst the majority of Year 11s continue their education into Sixth Form, we are always delighted to welcome in a number of additional students, from a range of schools, who quickly settle in and readily form a single cohesive student body. Some students will inevitably find the transition to A level challenging in one or more subjects. Challoner’s staff have a wealth of experience supporting students making this transition, regardless of their background. We work hard to ensure that new students enjoy the full range of opportunities here, with a number of these students appointed to senior positions of responsibility, which has a hugely positive impact on the whole school community. In order to accommodate our students, we have an impressive Sixth Form Centre which features outstanding study facilities, the Milton Library and a café, Social Kitchen, accessible to Sixth Form students only. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum - with a focus on character development - that will assist students to gain the skills and understanding required to enter either employment, apprenticeships or Higher Education. We welcome students who are willing to work hard and contribute directly to school life. Whether they are potential Oxbridge candidates, capable of attaining multiple A*s, or hard-working students capable of attaining three sound grades at A Level, we will do everything we can to support them to achieve their full potential.
