Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
At Hartsdown we believe that education cannot be confined to the classroom. Education must include opportunities to take you out of your comfort zone to test your resilience physically and mentally. To do things you have never done before.

Wales
We regularly take students to Wales where children have a range of activities including climbing, hiking and kayaking. For many students this is their first experience of outward bound activities.
Duke of Edinburgh
At Hartsdown every child has the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award. DofE is about helping you along the path to a productive and prosperous future. Achieving the Award gives our students skills, confidence and an edge over others when they apply for college, university or a job.
The Brilliant Club
We work with the Brilliant Club to deliver the Scholars Programme which provides pupils our students with the opportunity to work with a PhD researcher to experience university-style learning. It helps them to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to secure a place at a highly-selective university.
