Welcome to The Crypt School

Welcome To The Sixth FormThe Crypt School Sixth Form offers a fantastic space within which all students can learn and progress in both their academic work and in all else that they do.We are committed to the development of each individual's talents and support each student through this most important phase of their education and development to flourish as young adults. We are pleased to welcome into our Sixth Form students from a number of schools, as well as our own. Staff are warm and friendly and genuinely care and support students. At The Crypt we value success and we are firmly committed to the development of both academic excellence and each student’s own personal and social development. Our vision for all members of our school community is that they will all flourish in their school and later adult lives. This vision that everyone will flourish, is underpinned by our five key values of Crypt school life: Integrity, Kindness, Pride, Respect and Responsibility."The transition has been seamless – impressed with quality of teaching and the dedication of the exceptional staff!"Yr12 ParentTogether with specialist careers guidance, the support of a Personal Tutor, and the dedicated support of specialist subject staff, it should come as no surprise that our students achieve consistently high examination results. We deliver a very broad range of A Level courses and offer students enrichment opportunities. As senior students, sixth formers play an important role as leaders in the School and have many chances to support younger pupils through our House, prefect and mentoring systems. As well as a strong focus on their academic work, we encourage our students to be fully involved in the life of the school. We believe that leadership and teamwork are important skills for all young adults and we are keen to provide chances for them to develop these skills as well as making a contribution to the wider community.By the end of their journey with us at school, our students have developed into the young people that universities and employers desire; they also leave us with a real sense of direction and purpose, a responsibility to society, confidence and with strong academic qualifications to realise their ambitions and dreams.I would encourage you to visit us during our Open Evenings by appointment. We are confident that you will be impressed with what we can offer.Susan GlockDirector of Post 16 Studies and Personal Development
