Welcome from the Academic Director of Sixth FormThe Sixth Form offers students from Windsor, Halesowen and the surrounding area, the chance to benefit from the excellent teaching upon which the school prides itself in a vibrant environment that encourages academic achievement and social development.Every September, we are delighted to welcome our own Year 11 students and students from numerous other schools into Windsor Sixth Form. We provide a supportive and challenging environment in which students are able to flourish. We are a thriving, friendly and supportive community. Our students have a wide variety of different aspirations. We pride ourselves on the support we offer to each individual to maximise their potential as well as develop their self-confidence and belief. The majority of our students aspire to study at university. Their chosen degree courses are wide-ranging including areas such as law, sciences and the performing arts. Students are also supported to secure positions in employment or apprenticeships. Life at Windsor Sixth Form is not just about academic success; it is also about developing as a person. Extra-curricular activities and leadership roles, alongside a broad tutorial and enrichment programme as well as work experience, enable our students to become well-rounded and confident individuals. It is with pride, every year, that we celebrate the success of our Sixth Form students at Windsor. We look forward to their future successes and to welcoming them back to inspire future generations. I hope the prospectus will give you a flavour of life in our Sixth Form and we very much look forward to meeting you at our open evening, where you will be able to see the range of opportunities available to our students.Mr J Leathem-PughAcademic Director of Sixth Form

What has been your career pathway since leaving Windsor? I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in July, achieved a 2:1 in BSc Psychology. I studied Psychology, Biology and PE at A level. What advice would you give to current Windsor students? Push through A levels because going to uni is worth it. What are your future plans? To go back to university to do a Masters in Psychology, either in Educational or Applied Psychology. What is your best memory of your time at Windsor? Enrichment on Wednesdays in sixth and going to fixtures with the netball team.

What has been your career pathway since leaving Windsor? Studied English, German, Maths and Physics at A-Level, then went to study Physics at the University of Exeter. Completed a study abroad year in Sydney, Australia and got the bug for working internationally. Finished my final year at Exeter and joined Babcock's international graduate programme. Worked across Europe predominantly in the Defence Sector and then covid put a stop to all that! Ended up pursuing an opportunity in London at PwC and haven't looked back since. What advice would you give to current Windsor students? Although it's good to have a goal, life rarely goes to plan and you'll likely experience multiple failures every step of the way. Try to turn them into a positive learning opportunity and above all keep following what you enjoy. What are your future plans? Continue to grow my expertise as a consultant across the defence sector and use as a stepping stone to opportunities in international defence diplomacy (but mainly keep enjoying myself!) What is your best memory of your time at Windsor? Lots! But first thing that comes to mind was my House winning sports day in the summer of Year 11.
