Welcome to Lipson Co-operative Academy

I am delighted to welcome you to Lipson Cooperative Academy’s Sixth Form Website, I hope you find everything you need.

Lipson is a fantastic place to learn and study; it is a place our students enjoy being part of, and thrive in. The opportunities, both academically and personally, that a student receives at Lipson not only mean that we retain our current students, but also attract students from other colleges and schools in the local area.

Our results in Sixth Form have continued to be positive year on year, and I wanted to share this success in a few key points below. In 2024, we

  • Achieved an average A-level grade of B-.
  • Achieved an average vocational grade of Distinction -.
  • Saw us double the number of students attending Russell Group universities.
  • Secured several apprenticeships with highly regarded providers.

Throughout the Sixth Form journey students are supported by outstanding teachers and a pastoral team who will support and guide them in every aspect of Post 16 life. From advice and guidance during enrolment, to helping students navigate the application process for university, an apprenticeship, or employment and all the bits in between, our students are supported and given every opportunity to be successful in making their dreams a reality.

Students are always at the forefront of everything we do in Sixth Form and we pride ourselves in going above and beyond to support students on their own individual journeys in being the best they can be.

We look forward to meeting you.

We understand that the success of a student does not always just come down to academic outcomes. Students' personal development and the experiences they gain are just as important as the hard work they put into their studies. This is key to being a Lipson student. By the time students leave Lipson, we want them to be well-rounded individuals who are confident in applying the skills and experiences they have learnt into everyday life. We recognise that every student has their own individual pathway and we want to be able to offer something to every student that will support them on that journey, which is why our offer of personal development and enrichment opportunities is so vast.
