Welcome to Aylesbury Grammar School
Our Sixth Form is a large and vibrant community.Over 90% of our own students remain to study in the Sixth Form, and we admit a minimum of 17 students from local state and independent schools.Almost all combinations of the Advanced Level courses we offer are possible, and our students proceed to a wide range of degree courses at Universities across the United Kingdom, in Europe and in America; as well as to apprenticeships and straight to the world of work.We see the Sixth Form not only as an opportunity to deepen understanding of a student’s chosen subjects, but also a time when students can pursue a wide range of other interests, responsibilities and leadership opportunities. Our Sixth Form does not solely exist for those who are academically very able. Sixth Form life enables everyone to develop their abilities in an individual way, and to prepare for their next steps in life – whatever they might be.Please see our Sixth Form Prospectus and Options Booklet below for further information.Former students, Old Aylesburians, are to be found in many fields of employment, including medicine, dentistry, law, politics, public service, finance, business, science, industry, the arts, broadcasting, the armed forces, professional sport, education at all levels, recreation and leisure industries and all forms of engineering. We are delighted to welcome back our Old Aylesburians to give talks on their areas of expertise, to adjudicate for events or just simply to offer advice.
