Welcome to Christopher Whitehead Language College

In joining Christopher Whitehead Sixth Form, students become part of a vibrant and supportive community in which they and staff work collegiately to foster an ethos of academic excellence and a love of learning.

Our students benefit from a balance of support and challenge, enabling them to develop into independent young adults equipped with the skills desired by universities and employers.

The sixth form at Christopher Whitehead boasts its own sense of identity, established by our exceptional students, whilst remaining an integral part of the school.

We encourage all of our sixth form students to get involved, whether taking on leadership responsibilities within the sixth form, or developing their skills supporting staff and students in the lower school.

Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
We recognise that sixth form is about more than just academic courses. Therefore, at Christopher Whitehead Sixth Form, all students benefit from a tailored enrichment programme designed to enhance the mental wealth of our students and equip them with essential life skills by providing a regular alternative to academic study. The Wednesday afternoon enrichment programme is centred around three themes: • Preparation for life – including Christopher Whitehead Cooking Academy and skills for independent living. • Physical health – including sport and fitness classes. • Personal development – including language classes and music.
