Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
Within the academy and sixth form we strive to ensure that all members of the National community experience ‘life in all its fullness’. In order to progress from our community it is important that students have a diverse range of experiences beyond their academic programme.

Student Leadership
Within National Sixth Form Centre, you will be offered the chance to get involved in roles which will support your ongoing personal development. As part of this, we have an elected Student Council with representatives from each tutor group and overseen by a chair from the Student Leadership Team. The council meet regularly to discuss issues that are important to the students and support making decisions on matters such as catering within the centre.
Clubs and Societies
We believe that external activities are important for students as it can help bring them closer to their peers whilst also working on an array of skills. Below are some of the clubs brought to students by National Sixth Form. Students are also free to form their own clubs based on their interests such as gardening, football, and drama.
EPQ
Students at NSFC will complete an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) as part of their ongoing development and study. The EPQ is highly valued by universities and employers as evidence of a range of transferable skills required for higher education and employment.
Work Experience
In the summer term of year 12, students will be expected to complete work experience related to their career of choice or the education pathway they wish to follow. Students will be expected to select, apply and interview for roles, and represent both themselves and The National Sixth Form Centre in a professional, business-like manner.
