Welcome to The Joseph Whitaker School
Dear Parent/Carer,In joining The Joseph Whitaker Sixth Form you will become part of an exciting, friendly and happy learning community, full of intelligent and articulate young adults. We are very proud of our curriculum offer and examination outcomes that are a result of the continuous hard work of our highly qualified and committed staffing body. Post-16 study is a time of opportunities and experiences and we provide excellent support to help you successfully complete your formal education before moving on to University, further education or work. We also offer the full Duke of Edinburgh Award, an enrichment programme and free access to the onsite gym. Whilst the Sixth Form does have its own facilities including a media suite, café, social and study areas the students are an integral part of the wider school community. It is expected that all students in the Sixth Form provide good role models for the students in the main school in terms of their conduct. Should you require any additional information please contact Mr Jacques (Head of Sixth Form) or Mr Croft (Deputy Headteacher). The next two years should be some of the best years of your life and we hope that you choose to make The Joseph Whitaker Sixth Form part of your educational journey. We look forward to welcoming you in the Sixth Form. Warmest regards, Carey Ayres Headteacher
