I currently work as a Junior Barrister Clerk at a barrister chambers in Manchester City Centre. My role involves manoging the diaries of a team of barristers, liaising with solicitors and clients to negotiate fees and ensure that our members have work in their diary It is a fast paced and challenging job but very rewarding at the some time. Don't panic about what you want to do after school/uni I had never previously heard of a barristers clerk before I got a role as an office assistant at my current chambers and worked my way up. As long as you work hard and stay motivated things will fall into place for you.
