Welcome to Gumley House RC Convent School, FCJ

The Sixth Form experience is different from anything you have known so far.  It offers greater freedom and opportunity, but along with this comes more responsibility.  It is a time for you to take control; a time when you will make important decisions and a time in which you will grow intellectually and personally.

It is the most challenging work you will have undertaken so far.  However, everything is in place at the Sixth Form to help you thrive and meet that challenge. Through our extensive choice of courses, including A Level and BTEC courses, you can delve deeper into your academic passions, while forming more mature relationships with teachers who will support you every step of the way. Through our university, medical, career, enrichment and scholars’ pathways, you will benefit from a range of inspirational talks, conferences, workshops, trips, events, summer programmes and work placements, helping you to develop a broad portfolio of attitudes, skills and knowledge to ensure you are well placed to succeed in a competitive world.

Our vision for our Sixth Form is to deliver a world class level of education whilst maintaining the students’ best interests at our core. Sixth Form is enjoyable and stimulating.  It provides the best opportunities for students to gain the qualifications, life skills and attitudes which will enable them to shape their futures positively and will equip them to make a positive contribution to our society and be a valuable members of our global community. Our bespoke facilities and academic support staff ensure this vision is reached and maintained.

Studying here is not just about working hard. We promise an experience which also offers plenty of laughter, fun and friendship. You can join the Student Leadership Team, become a member of a sports team, hone your creative talents, attend social events and take part in charity fundraising. We look forward to welcoming you into our Sixth Form community at Gumley House.
